海合安青岛极地海洋公园 · No. 60 Donghai East Road, Qingdao
Cross the Arctic and Antarctic in one day — 50,000+ marine animals, five immersive pavilions, six spectacular shows and China's first 360° transparent jellyfish tunnel, right on the shore of the Yellow Sea.
Welcome to the pole by the sea
Qingdao Polar Ocean World (海合安青岛极地海洋公园) sits in the core coastal tourism belt of Laoshan District — facing the Yellow Sea, backed by Fushan Mountain and just steps from the Sculpture Park, Shilaoren Beach and Xiaomaidao Park. Surrounded by the sea on three sides, the park pairs dramatic coastal scenery with one of China's most complete collections of polar animals.
Five theme venues — the Polar Oceanarium, Horizon Theater, Deep Sea Fantasy · Jellyfish Secret Realm, Polar Legend · Ice & Snow Experience Hall and the 360° Dome Theater — circle the central Whale Joy Square, creating a unique "ocean fun cube" in Shandong Province where marine displays, live shows, science education and animal conservation come together.

Five theme pavilions
From the polar ice to a dome of dancing jellyfish — each pavilion is a destination of its own.
01Tens of thousands of Arctic and Antarctic marine animals under one roof. Cross from the North Pole to the South Pole in a single stop and meet belugas, polar bears, penguins and the secrets of the deep blue.
02An open-air theater overlooking the sea, home to the park's funniest rivalry: walruses vs. sea lions. A giant LED screen with all-round sound and lighting turns every show into a visual feast.
03Home to China's first 360° fully transparent jellyfish tunnel. Wander through a fantasy realm woven from thousands of jellyfish of 20+ shapes and colors and uncover the little secrets of the deep sea.
04Snow all year round thanks to "ice-and-snow fusion" technology. Brave the colorful ice slide, step into the blue ice cave, claim the Sea King's throne and meet the big snow monster.
05Step inside the sphere and immerse yourself in the deep ocean in one second. Naked-eye 3D and a holographic sky screen send belugas and penguins swimming through the air above you.

An excellent theme park with several different areas — the main aquarium, animal shows, and an Ice City. I spent about three hours there. I recommend visiting in the morning; it gets very crowded after 11:00 AM.
Definitely worth a visit, especially if you're traveling with kids! 😊 My kids really enjoyed the experience. My eldest son especially loved the beluga whale feeding activity because he absolutely loves beluga whales. 🐋 We also let him try the underwater sea lion encounter, and he had such a memorable time! It was such a wonderful family experience — seeing how happy and excited the kids were made the visit even more special. Highly recommended for families traveling with children! 🥰
When the park wasn't busy we got on the Ferris wheel without queuing and had a cabin all to ourselves — a great experience. Watching the beluga show while standing in the crowd was less comfortable, but the Whale & Dolphin Show in the theater was brilliant and full of joyful atmosphere — we were even caught on camera from our seats, which made it feel wonderfully interactive.
This ocean park is well worth visiting — two seniors spent six hours taking it slowly. The jellyfish were absolutely stunning. We booked our tickets on Trip.com and only had to show our passports at the entrance — very convenient. 👍
This was really a nice experience for us. It's worth it — value for money. You can also experience the ocean view from the Ferris wheel.
We pre-booked the tickets before our departure to China, expecting an exciting and eventful presentation — and we got all that we wanted. The whole place is fun-packed; adults and kids both loved it. It met all the expectations of everyone attending the shows.
