海合安青岛极地海洋公园
The story of Qingdao Polar Ocean World — a national AAAA-level polar ocean theme park between Fushan Mountain and the Yellow Sea.
Who we are
Qingdao Polar Ocean World (海合安青岛极地海洋公园) is a national AAAA-level attraction located at No. 60 Donghai East Road, in the heart of the coastal tourism belt of Laoshan District. Facing the Yellow Sea and backed by Fushan Mountain, the park is surrounded by water on three sides and sits just steps away from the Qingdao Sculpture Park, Shilaoren Beach and Xiaomaidao Park — one of the most beautiful corners of the city, with convenient transportation from downtown Qingdao.
The park brings together five theme venues — the Polar Oceanarium, Horizon Theater, Deep Sea Fantasy · Jellyfish Secret Realm, Polar Legend · Ice & Snow Experience Hall and the 360° Dome Theater — around the central Whale Joy Square. Together they form a unique "ocean fun cube" in Shandong Province, where marine displays, cultural and tourism experiences, science education and animal conservation meet in one place.
Every element of the park is built around a single promise: to bring the polar regions and the deep ocean to Qingdao's shoreline, so that every visitor can "travel through the North and South Poles in one day" and leave with thousands of surprises — and a deeper love for the ocean.

Our mission
Qingdao Polar Ocean World is more than an aquarium — it is a polar ocean theme park built on four missions.
Five pavilions and more than 50,000 animals bring the polar regions and the deep sea to Qingdao's shoreline — from belugas and polar bears to thousands of jellyfish.
Six daily shows, seven photo check-in areas, seasonal events and family services turn a visit into a full day of memories by the sea.
The Science Magic Show, docent talks and hands-on exhibits help students learn while they travel — combining education with entertainment.
Professional animal care and conservation messaging protect the animals in our charge and inspire visitors to care for the ocean.

地點
The park occupies a privileged spot on Donghai East Road, the scenic coastal boulevard of eastern Qingdao. The setting makes it easy to combine your visit with beaches, parks and seaside walks — many guests spend the whole day in the neighborhood.
The venues
Each venue offers a different way to meet the polar and deep-sea world.
Tens of thousands of Arctic and Antarctic marine animals — cross both poles in one stop.
Open-air shows overlooking the sea, with a giant LED screen and all-round sound and light.
China's first 360° fully transparent jellyfish tunnel, woven from thousands of jellyfish.
Year-round snow with a blue ice cave, colorful ice slide and playful snow interaction.
Naked-eye 3D and a holographic sky screen that puts belugas and penguins in the air above you.
Our animals
Polar icons and deep-sea characters live side by side across the park's habitats.
…and many more, across more than 50,000 animals in total. Some experiences, such as beluga feeding activities, can be enjoyed with bookable add-ons — ask at the park for availability.
Qingdao Polar Ocean World in numbers
Our promise
Behind every show and every exhibit stands a professional team of keepers, veterinarians and educators. Animals receive daily care and enrichment designed around their natural behaviors, and the park's breeding and conservation programs help protect species whose wild homes are under pressure. When you watch a beluga dance with its keeper or a penguin paddle past the glass, you are seeing the result of that daily work.
We also believe a visit should teach something that lasts. Interpretive signage, feeding demonstrations and the Science Magic Show turn curiosity into knowledge, showing guests of all ages why the polar regions matter and how small everyday choices can help the ocean. That is the "whale-sized" wonder we want every guest to take home: the joy of meeting the polar world, and the responsibility we all share for it.
